"Kuraz the Light Monarch" expands the power of the famous line of Monarch monsters. Use it to destroy any 2 cards, even when Special Summoned.
"Soul Rope" can Summon any Level 4 monster from your Deck to replace a monster you lose in battle. This Trap can be used to harness the power of the new monster, "Honest," even quicker!

When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can destroy up to 2 cards on the field. For each card destroyed, that card's controller draws 1 card. This card cannot attack during the turn it is Normal or Special Summoned.

OMFG

Where do I start? First, Lightsworn is waaaaaaaaaaaaay cooler than Lightmasters, the other option that, IMHO, seemed the most likely one. 20 TCG only Cards means no more catching up with OCG through Boosters, mixed feelings about this one. About the Promos... Soul Rope is my favorite OCG-only Card and Kuraz isn't too bad either. This is one great SE!

this one could be interesting.. releasing the final monarch 2 months after the dark emperor structure deck. soul rope seems to be a pretty decent card and kuraz is pretty good even if it isnt in a monarch deck.. definitely will get a few of these

Ya, Kuraz is really good. His major disadvantage is his ability to not attack. And good thing he has that effect. I think he is the only Monarch that ive seen that doesn't give the player an immediate advantage. He is VERY good in a OTK deck though.
So, there are 7 Monarchs, 1 of THUNDER, 1 for ICE/WATER, 1 for FiRE, 1 for ROCK, 1 for WIND, 1 for DARK and 1 for LIGHT, right? That would mean that Zborg isn't the LIGHT monarch everyone was saying. So, now it could be possible that they make another Earth monarch, abd naybe 1 for a select few of Types? Ihope they don't do that...
I don't know about you guys, but I still like Lightlord better than Lightsworn...

Kuraz was a Jump promo, and came out one month after the Emperor SD. So to see Kuraz won't be in Shonen jump is a big relief...

Sweet!

Some decent promos! Kuraz is a decent name for the Monarch IMO, and Soul Rope sounds pretty sweet too, especially with those 'cannot be normal summoned or set' cards like RareMetal Dragon, or cards with neat on-summon effects like Sapphire Pegasus, Stratos and Armageddon Knight.
And DAMN does Lightsworn sound awesome! I was thinking of not getting many LoTD cards originally but the Lightsworn monsters are rapidly changing my mind! XD

Lightsworn/Lightlords

I'm still iffy on the Lightlords/Lightsworn/what-have-you...
It's just too easy to deck out with them, even with he 60-max cards per deck being ruled soon. The only thought I have is that some of the TCG-X cards are to help this fatal flaw...
I'm also hoping they may make other cards Saiou/Sartorius used real, instead of being dependant on th OCG for them. And no 'Light Ruler' yet!?

It would've made sense if Light Ruler was one of the added cards, but apparently UDE aren't that sensible. I would've liked to see more OCG cards in this set, but all we get is TCG-only. Hopefully we will see some Lightsworn extra support. I think generally Lightsworn would run at least a couple Pot of Avarices. A shame they're REALLY vulnerable to Macro, more so than other decks.

Lightlords

Ya, with the Lightlords mandatory effect, those cards will get removed from play, and you know what happens after that? No Judgement Dragoon for the Lightlord player. But the Lightlords have a somewhat good drawing engine, using Garos to draw up to 2 cards. The deckcan deck out a lot, and they DO need extra support. If only they could get a card that says that you have the option to discard cards from your deck... And to bad that now with the release of the Lightlords, Exchange of the Spirit will never come back on the Limited List, but thats good news for Traditional Players.

The Lightlords don't work that way. Theywould send so many cards yo your RFG pile that Burial wouldn't even help. Dimension Fusio is limited to 1 , so the chances of drawingit is slim. The chances of discarding it? 3x better than drawing it. DD Master doesn't fit in a Lightlord deck either. If you take away one of the tributes for a Lightlord deck, the dek gets weaker as a whole. And barely any of the cards from the new Structure Deck will help. You will need a card that says 'Put all cards in your RFG zone to your deck" so that the Lightlords had a fair chance against Macro.

It's also kind of stupid that the TCG card names and special promo's aren't known yet. A Special Edition comes about a month later out then the original set. But that information would be faster then the set. So it's not likely that this information is correct.

Just because he has "Monarch" in his name doesn't meen squat, that's like "Archfiend" monsters. In the Japanese version his name doesn't follow the simular Kanji used for the other monarchs.

The new Trap Card from the new Structure Deck doesn't follow the Kanji if that is the card you were talking about. It's called Emperor Order.

Oh, and the Light of Destruction Booster Pack information (not thispage, the other one) says that LODT will have 10 TCG onlys and 10 OCG onlys. So, which one is correct? Bah, we're going to have to wait for more info about the set...

I wish they would send out the Special Edition Packs soon after the first ones comes out. Hard Core card gamers like myself,send lots of money buying the packs. Now here comes the new Special Edition Packs for the rest of are money. Two new cards,big woop!! I have to say that,the new cards are cool.
