Just when we thought the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME (TCG) Collectible Tins couldn’t get any hotter. Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s newest hero makes a special appearance – and his Collectible Tin debut – with the new and EXCLUSIVE Collectible Tin. Each unique Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Collectible Tin offers an assortment of the game’s top-selling booster packs from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX era along with the first new booster pack for the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds era. The tins will also have a value added promo pack that will contain a tournament coupon and 3 of 9 promo cards.

Pretty wicked-looking. If it does come with the Terminal cards (which I doubt - we WILL be getting Terminals at some point I'm sure...), then that would rule. Extra Pack cards would rule too. Otherwise, I have no clue what would be in these (what if they're just empty tins! :O

Idea?

I remember reading the comments on another site about the OCG Extra Pack. Someone said that it was unfair that Japan gets a get 'em all easy pack and that we deserved somthing like that. Could this be our Extra Pack?
Only time will tell.

Probably exclusive to a specific store or something :/
Hopefully it'll be Duel Terminal Cards, though the different colours imply a variety of 3 tin promos possibly. Also the tins look to be a similar size to the Duelist Pack tins so it's doubtful it'll contain main-set cards (i.e. TDGS), and since Duelist Pack Yusei isn't out in Japan yet it's likely to be Duel Terminal or some form of Extra Pack.

I don't think that cards from the Extra Pack will be included here. I think they are called Exclusive Tins because they will contain new cards... maybe the new versions of Slifer, Ra and Obelisk (if there will be new versions....)

Amer. Vs. Europe

These tins may end up like the Elemental Hero Prisma tins. Only in a certain chain store. The US got them in Targets and I forgot where Europe got them.. But so far the look like non-Jap. exclusive. I do hope so. I'm still waiting for the day that every person has an equal chance of getting every card.
Like thats gonna happen within 10 years. XD

America does get exclusives. We don't get Shonen Jump over here in Europe (at least not in the UK) without importing, so all those nice promo cards like Cyber Dinosaur, E-Hero Stratos (at first), Green Baboon, etc. we can't get without importing. Plus we didn't get sneak peak promo cards til FOTB. So it's only fair Europe gets some exclusives too.

There's no such thing as Target in Canada, so we get screwed over there too. I could probably write a list of stores that are USA-only, but it'd take up too much space. So I've never seen anybody with a Prisma before. Everybody WANTS one (well, 3), but the only way to get it is buying through the net.

Whoa...

I'm getting really ecstatic because I think they are the duel terminal cards. Why I believe that is because the cover is a picture of Yusei, implying that this is more new stuff. Exclusive may mean like cards that were only exclusive to Japan, but had to do with synchros, such as the awesome X - Saber Airbellum and Brionac. I hope I'm right because then, we could finally get a different build of DAD and others in our meta.

OMG

Just watched Synchro DAD in action and it kinda obliterates our meta right now. If these cards are from the duel terminal, Summon Priest and Arms Hole, I'm giving up my Destiny Draws and all the other stuff for DAD just because. Plus, if these are the infamous synchro DAD cards, then let's hope that they don't get banned (which they shouldn't due to the fact that it's released in the TCG after the new ban list). It's called "Success Probability 0%" It discards 2 random Fusion Monsters from the Fusion Deck to the Graveyard... The Fusion Deck text wud be errata'd to extra deck and It unfortunately wud still only work on Fusions...

Also "Memory Crusher" inflicts 100 damage for each monster in your opponent's Fusion Deck (now Extra Deck) but it has to attack directly and 100 damage is very low (max. 1500 damage).
About these tins, I think there will be: Arms Hole, Assault Armor and Evil Blast, 'cause the other two (of five) Osiris Disk Promos (Prisma and Card Ejector) were realesed in TCG as tins promos (Jaden Tin and DP Tin)

More Tins!!!

I don't know what may be in them, and may be i don't care.
The first 2008 tins hit the stores soon and the next in the fall. Yes,I love new cards. I love to add new cards to my decks. But i only have some much money to buy them in a year. I need time to save up a little. I need time to think up new cambos to use too. I really,don't like the tins to much anyway. First they make the hard to get cards worthless.I know some people like that,so do i sometimes. Expelly when it worth 30 or 50 backs. The second thing is you pay 20 dollers have a tin with one cool card and five packs of sadness,all the card we already have and the ones we don't want!!

Gandora Dragon of Destuction is one of the the dragons,i've been waiting to come out for years. i felt he would be out before the Blue Eyes U Dragon. I guess i was wrong?! It may be Gandora because if you look at the 2008 World Championship Banned List, you see Gandora is up there, however, we don't have Gandora. Hmmmm..... a typo or an answer to our questions?

Ah well, it was a good idea and personally I'd love to get my hands on an english Brionac, but it's basically just the same as the other tins, but LODT and PTDN are swapped around, and no cover card :/
As for the promos, hopefully we'll get something decent. Although it could simply be more tokens like the other tins.

"Promo Pack"

It does sound like the other four tins, but this time it sounds like they're actual cards, since they say that the promos are Secret Rare (although I'm not sure what the Token cards are printed as?).
It could, in all likelyhood, be three combined sets of video game cards... I'm hoping for the Magnet Warriors and Valkyrion, 'Burden of the Mighty', and 'Dimensional Prison' if so.

Also, just to put this out there: Season 4 of GX will eventually be done by 4Kids, it's just that it has been put on hiatus for now, with all the new shows they have to deal with, so possibly next Spring or even the Summer :P (wouldn't that suck if Tag Force 3 wasn't released until then??)

I'm a bit disappointed it wasn't duel terminal cards, however, exclusive tins sound just as hot. I think that the promo pack will just be tokens instead of cards we want. There goes my dream of synchro DAD and beasts. If the promo pack is cards and not tokens, I believe we'll see cards from gx that were promos that we missed (Arms Hole, anyone?). The special cards in the tins seem to be no more than the goyo guardian tins that they talking about on pojo, maybe a few others but nothing really huge. Goyo is good, but until we get a field clearing synchro, synchros won't shine as bright as gyzarus and DAD and Judgement.

Hey another Aussie!

I know its tough that we don't get any exclusives and we also have to pay $7.99-8.99 for one pack of cards. Americans and European get it easy with everything including the Online Version of Yu-Gi-Oh!. What about us Aussies?
Australia gets nothing!
Anyways i reckon the promos will be TCG exclusive cards (like that will happen). They could release cards like Advanced Dark, Toon Kingdom and other anime cards.
From a OCG perspective, I'd like to see Chimeratech and a Crush Card (since its common in Japan)

wouldn't that be kinda stupid? after all, "Pharaohs shrine" (temple of kings) is banned, and as such, makes holy beast serket unusable?

i don't think UDE would be silly enough to release 2 unusable cards in these tins, and will probably stick to cards from 5D's, because that is the most recent YuGiOh series.

My guess about 'Id'

I'm thinking 'Id, the Nightmare Lord' (guessing its English name) and 'Violet Witch' will be the 2 Promos in the CSOC Special Edition...
And I agree - having them release 2 banned cards is pretty bad. If someone could tell us what 'Gandora' can do it'd be appreciated (I've only seen it on the show and in the manga).

if my other idea fails i might just have a better one. they should have 1 secret rare card from phantom darkness, light of destruction, and duelist genesis. if it was up to me i would pick for the 3 tin promos to be dark armed dragon, fossil dyna pachycephalo, and fiendish engine omega.

hmm, I like your idea, but replace fossil dyna with JD. Nah, you probable didn't want JD in because you didn't need it or already had it. Even though your idea is better, tins are usually cards that are character friendly from the series, So we'll be seeing some of 5ds favorites, GX favorites or Yugioh! favorites. That be weird if one had Goyo, another had the light ruler (Arcana) or something from GX and the third had Gandora.

I wouldn't want JD to be in a tin, since I already have one, and I don't want everyone else getting it the easy way (even though I got it in a prize pack :P)! Although, the common problem in the metagame is that you have to be rich enough to keep up with the latest decks before the metagame shifts. Heck, my single JD and minimal Lightsworns look like crap compared to that deck from SJC St. Louis with 3 Honests AND JDs! That guy must have the world's easiest job, to be able to get that much money without becoming the classic office junkie (or going bankrupt).

It was a good guess that I based only on the worlds' banned list. Since, the light ruler and Gandora definitely aren't part of these tins, I guess they are just the other three ultra synchros released in the duelist genesis, Goyo Guardian, Thought Ruler Archfiend and Nitro Warrior. Guess I'm only picking up the Goyo tins and wait until CSOC is released with zombie carrier. lol.

CSOC isn't out for 3 months yet...

I would guess 'Nitro Warrior' and 'Thought Ruler Archfiend', since they fit the colour schemes, but that's the only reason... Otherwise I hope for 'Multiple Piece Golem', just because it'd be nice.

well if u really think abou it...
if u have a zombie deck, u can get the 3 cards to the graveyard and special summon them back with zombie master and u get to draw cards with cards of safe return (dunno if thats the real name)
and ull have a strong montage dragon on the field. and the all u gotta do is attack!!

It's also great in Yubel decks, as if you've got 3 Yubels (or any of it's higher forms) in your hand you can send them to the Graveyard (practically no cost considering they're dead in your hand), and if you sent Yubel you can set yourself up for a Limit Reverse.
Still it's not really gamebreaking, you can still send them using Vortex or whatever so it's main practical use is a big beatstick (or an OTK, if you send 3 Level 10 or higher monsters such as Yubel and it's variants).
Goyo Guardian is the main one people will get. I'm not sure if people will get Nitro Warrior, he doesn't seem that good really (next to other Synchro monsters).

Okay.......I was just about to mention that, but I guess you've got it covered. But, yeah, that's its best use. I have three Yubels, so I might consider getting it for Christmas or my birthday or something (but they'll probably gone by then). On that note, I wish I had Dark Grepher for my Yubel deck. :(

It would work with a Dragon deck too!

You have three BEW Dragons or maybe some another dragon type with a high level from your hand. Use dragon Mirror,and you have powful dragon with back up from BEWU dragon or Five-Headed Dragon,for the kill.

I can use it in my Yubel deck too. I'm alwaya trying to get her or him in the Graveyard,so i can begin it out with some of my Trap,Spell, and Monster effects. With Montage Dragon,you would have butt kicking monster and Yubel waiting in the wings to fight!!

All cards that are in the Tins are refered to as "variants", since usually they're cards released in the booster sets.

Which one of the three tins has Goyo Guardian in it, because I'd guess the white one since Goyo wears white makeup, or has this already been confirmed? If someone knows, please tell, because I'm not sure.

I have gotten plenty of packs before the release date at their stores in the past because they put it out as soon as it was in their store. I'd be willing to bet since the entire display of tins at walmart was white only that the three tins will be split between walmart, target, and toys r us, each getting a specific color tin.

Pfftt... My local Wal*Mart hasn't gotten any new cards since PTDN, which is almost a year now ~:(
So I'm doubtful we'll ever get ANY tins...
Sigh... Off to eBay I go, as usual.

The promo pack is the same 3 of 9 token cards as the other tins. And as far as I can tell, they're all common. I've only seen six of them though.

Good Question

I visited Wal*Mart, Target, Toys R' US, Kay Bee Toys, Big K-Mart, & a hobby store today.

Wal*Mart already has Montage Dragon tins on shelves because they tend to do that. And wow there was a lot of them.

Everywhere but Wal*Mart has nothing. And when I ask, they say they have a new shipment; I come back later in the day after they put them on the shelves & it turns out they're just Stardust/Archfiend tins.

Well...

Okay, so this is the 100%, definite facts:
White (Montage Dragon) is at Wal*Mart only.
Red (Nitro Warrior) is at Target only (Target is also USA-only).
Yellow (Goyou Guardian) is at Toys 'R' Us only.

So, I'm doubtful we may actually ever see these Tins sold elsewhere, which majorly bites. I'm sure that soon, maybe some online stores might sell them (at lower prices but higher shipping charges, naturally XP), but that just might be all.
