Cards that require a SPECIFIC CARD to be activated are "Bad Cards" (outside Rituals). Black Luster Soldier was, in its day a Power House. I mean, come on! Activate his ritual, ditch a Blue-Eyes, summon him, and then Reborn the Blue-Eyes! Back in its day that used to be one of THE main powerhouse moves!

Dude, you need to freakin chill out. No one can predict the future, no one saw this coming. People are GOING to complain, and if it annoys you so much, IGNORE IT. Besides, as people have stated above, Gorz isn't as great as it used to be, so it's not such a 'broken' card, and we'll probably get the immediate emergency limitation of it, since it's like that in Japan, and when we got Victory Dragon, they automatically made it forbidden because it was that way in Japan. Gorz will be played, but he is no longer broken in this day and age. Most likely Europe will get it some other way, since they usually do, like how you guys can get the easy stratos and stuff over there, sure Gorz may come out in the US first, but at least you don't have to wait for year or more, unlike Japan. If you seriously do want to keep complaining about it, complain about Japan, because they're the ones that had this damn card all along back when it WAS insanely broken.

Exactly. Duh. Absorb 2500+ from a direct attack, spec. Gorz & a 2500+/2500+ token to wall/stop your opponent from ending it there. Next turn go crazy with your 2 2500+ monsters, either crash the token into their big boy or just sweep w/ the 2 of them. If that does not turn the tide in your favor for at least a turn, or if Gorz was negated/failed then you were already dead regardless of having Gorz in your deck. What Gorz does is give a player w/ nothing a chance to force an equilibrium w/ their opponent.

Gorz is in just about every top deck since its release in Japan, the exceptions would be Meta-Beats (OCG version of Little City) & dedicated Zombie decks (control/OTK variants) among other lower decks.

They should make up to Europe again. They gave us Blast sphere, Copycat, Relieve Monster and Clone Duplication cause we didn't get them as they were SJ subscription promo's and they were secret and hard to obtain. Why couldn't they also add cards like Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest or Blizzard Dragon? We didn't get them either while Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest was also a subscription promo. They should make a new pack with ALL SJ Promo's for Europe including the SJC Promo's. Or for the SJC promo's give them out in a different way such as they did with Gold Sacrophagos for example.

Yeah, this looks like a set worth getting now!

This set has always been worth getting because of Solemns and Mirror Forces, and now we have super D Draws and Malicious? People are going to be buying this like crazy xD.

Pssh, I'll probably be buying more of these than Crossroads by far.

People are just jealous, they're not gonna change, I say just let them complain by themselves and ignore them.

It says that it includes cards from LOB, MRD, and MRL plus some Promos and hard-to-get cards like 'Gellenduo'. So DAD and DMOC are pretty doubtful.

In the case that this set includes 'Green Baboon', does that possibly mean we'll see other Shonen Jump exclusives too? I'm kinda hoping to get some extras of a few, like 'Magician's Valkyria'.

Not to crush dreams or anything, but "Exodia" isn't tournament level. I have a set sitting in my trade binder I would love to trade you. It's the common set with Ulra rare LOB head so it's cheap.
"Crush Card Virus" just got reprinted in "The Gold Series".
I would love to see an English "Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon"! "Blizard Dragon" hints that we may be getting previously OCG exclusive cards, so lets hope for the "Darkness Metal".

There ARE two very successful ways to pull off Exodia that I... "discovered" recently.
The first one is the somewhat tricky to pull off "Mind Master Max", which, by equipping your 'Mind Master' with 'Telekinetic Charging Cell', and, by constantly Tributing for 'Mind Master's effect, you can clear out the majority of your deck, leaving the Exodia pieces and whatever else you may have, depending on how you built your deck.

The second is simply "2x 'Manticore of Darkness' plus 'Card of Safe Return'". If your 'Manticore of Darkness' is sent to the Grave, and you have 'CoSR' on your field along with your second 'Manticore' either on the field or in your hand during the same End Phase, you can send your second 'Manticore' to you grave to bring back your lost one, then draw by 'CoSR', then you activate that second 'Manticore's effect, since it's still the End Phase, and keep repeating until you draw all the Exodia pieces, or even your entire deck.

So even though nobody may play them in the big tournaments, there ARE some fairly solid ways to pull it off.

Another way to pull of exodia is by having your opponent control King Tiger Wanghu, while you have Bushi in the Graveyard and CoSR on the field. One other fun idea now D-Draws are super is Crazy Exodia Draw: 3 d-draws, 3 tradins, 3 allures, 9 lv8 d-heros (along with a few of fear monger/diamonddude) and maybe some Cup of Ace and Appropriates. Maybe the odd Beginning of the End.

Anywho, these Dark Legends packs look nice. I reckon they'll probably be at least £10 per package though considering what's in them... Super D-Draw and Malicious means I can finally get my hands on them again, hoping for Allure but I'm not too fussed, I reckon Allure will be Limited next banlist thanks to Tele-DAD. I mainly want to get my hands on Gorz, Malicious and Gellenduos.

But isn't €10 (I don't have the "pounds" symbol) around $20? I'd say maybe 60% of that, like the price of 2 packs plus a little extra.

All sellers have to do now is lower their prices by $10-20. Any uninformed buyers (and there will be many) will be astounded & purchase them. Weeks later reprints come out $30-ish cheaper than the original and so the seller's made the profit & the buyer's been screwed. Easy & common method.

And Gorz's limited, it's already on the official list. Plus shriek's already posted it on the front page.

Yes D-Draw and Malicious are gonna go down in price, but they would eventually anyway and anyone planning on selling them should know this.
But right now we're in this little time period where some people know about the release but a lot of people don't, which is when sellers should be selling them to get the most out of them.
Buyers will be screwed out of a bit if they buy d-draws or maliciouses between now and the release of dark legends since the price will still be high.

Also, Dark Armed Dragon has not been confirmed in this yet. It probably won't be too, but I can't say for sure until the full list is discovered.

Or Cyber Dragon (when it came out in DP04), or Mirror Force (in Gold). Good point.

I've got 'Frost and Flame Dragon', plus a misprinted 'Dragon Ice'.

Yeah, think people don't read th description before going "Oh, I hope DMoC and DAD and Honest blahblahblah are in here!" I would think maybe we could get those 6 that were "Tins-only" a while ago ('Vorse Raider', 'Rocket Warrior', 'Panther Warrior', new art 'DMG', 'Gilford the Lightning', and 'Exarion Universe'), as well as possibly 'Des Volstgalph' or however that's spelled. And I can't think of any other SJ promos that would be in here aside from 'Green Baboon'.

I'm not sure Konami have any say over what UDE distributes to America and what the distribute to Europe specifically. In any case, UDE aren't fair, but they're never fair so get over it. Remember, as far as UDE are concerned Retro Pack was our first release of Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, yet we've had players using it for ages here now anyway. We'll get these packs, one way or another. Although granted we could use a reprint of Baboon more than America, considering we didn't get it in the first place either, but yeah. UDE should just release everything everywhere and leave it at that.
Personally I hope to see an alternate art Dark Magician (the red one), but I doubt it.

Think the chances for any other reprints of other cards besides the first 3 booster sets are slim. If they add anymore i'm going to be even more mad at UDE.

And UDE does have a say over what is released in Europe. For example during the Pharaoh Tour Finals, from the Netherlands and Belgium, the winner got a Gold Sacrophagus. But that was an one shot so it's really different from a Shonen Jump and not just open for everyone to enter. Only for those who qualified. However it shows that cards can be given out to Europe as well but it seems UDE Europe is just to lazy for it or not in the mood to co operate with UDE America.

And we don't even have Shonen Jump Magazine here officially. You really have to look for it to see if a local store can order them from the US. Which also really sucks. But that's also going be the way to buy these packs through import from a local store. So here we have to do alot more effort to get these cards. Not everyone can find those stores or they are not near so that's a big problem.

Europe never ever got a card first before America so far i know. All we get is cards later. Also the reason that cards don't go fast from the OCG to the TCG is probably because that the OCG is supported by Konami and NOT UDE while we have UDE here. So the whole unfair thing your complaining about is based on your own personal thoughts instead of the logic as how it is. There's a huge difference to my complaining about why the cards take so long to be released in Europe cause it's the SAME organisation that goes over it. Also a nice fact for those in America to know is that Europe first was about 3 booster packs or maybe even more away from America. When you guys had LON we just got MRD. The Sneak Preview Promo's also took several Sneak Previews before we also got them when attending to one. The first being Ancient Lamp, after that one not, after that we got them all. So it shows that UDE can do something about bringing cards to Europe instead of putting America first.

We did get a few things before America,
we got 2008 Wave1 tins early thanks to a blunder by Argos,
and what about Prisma? I forget, did America actually get him or did they have to import?

well hell yeah am happy about that but come each one of these things is gonna cost like 10 bucks you will have to buy a couple to expect something good it will quickly add up to a lot of money so your basically gonna pay the same price

Stop complaining about the not good cards. It's a RETRO PACK of course they don't only include good cards. Otherwise it wouldn't be a retro pack version for the US anymore. Be glad you already get the reprints of good cards. As mentioned earlier the "best" thing we got were the secret unobtainable cards such as Amazoness chain master" and even "Copycat" that was released same week as common in the 5d Structure Deck. But in fact the only real worthy card in the Retro Pack was a Super "Solemn Judgment"

Only several parts of Europe got Blizzard Dragon and in a really limited edition as well. Beside those parts also Australia got them at some places. But that's still 1 vs how many cards does the US get? Oh yes a really good argument. I think that most americans are really selfish here cause they complain about that some not so good cards are also released in this. Which as mentioned above as well is completly logical in a retro pack. Furthermore the unfair thing is that most of here have to do effort to get those cards from somewhere. Either through sites that sell it from the US or through a local store. But not everyone has acces to those things. Just ask yourself how would you feel if Europe would get alot of exclusive promo's and sooner released cards from the OCG? How would you feel if you had to order things with more effort then as usual just enter almost any shop you want to? Then when you finally get an exclusive we would complain while we already had so many good promo's and later on you see that to make it up to us they bring out a set with unreleased cards from the OCG and even hard to get cards as reprints such as D-Draw. How would you feel in those situations? Cause this is what the problem is to me how things are going. Maybe you understand it now if you watch it from a different vieuw. And yes i'm doing effort to get some cards but they always cost more then cause of the import which also is bad.

I do believe that a majority of Americans are selfish, egotistical in a sense. They have little concern for the world around them and think life is hard when in fact their lives are relatively easy compared to the rest of the world. ie. When i was in America, people were complaining about everything and about how hard they 'worked', when in fact Homer Simpson from the The Simpson does more work than those 'wasteful individuals'.

I understood some of what you said but, half of it doesn't jingle. For what I did understand, rite... I don't think u understand anything. Again, it proves how narrow some Americans are when they' re frustrated and write a revenge-note that doesn't even make sense.

So far it's not US only indeed. The problem is the rest of the world will get it alot later. And therefore HAVE to import again cause otherwise it's harder to compete. By using import there is also a monopoly for people who can do that and those who can't do that. So they have to rely on people who can order it. Who mostly sell those things at slightly higher price or you don't even have those contacts. If this was also released equally with Europe there wouldn't be such a monopoly and everything would be more fair for everyone. UDE should just have printed the first Retro Pack like this and also gave it out in America at the same time or maybe a month later. Cause America already has an advantage over the TCG community if you compare it to other countries.

About the American thing:
I complain about it cause Americans complained about the Retro Pack being released in Europe while it was crap. Now America get's a sort of Retro Pack and it has hard-to-get cards in it. Which will still be hard to get in this pack most likely but there's more of a chance to get a hard-to-get card even though it's not the one you probably wanted if you compare it to the Europe Retro Pack. Also some fun cards who can see competitive play are not so hard to get in this pack. Blizzard Dragon being a perfect example of this.

The reason I was upset about the release of the Retro Pack was because I started playing the game around when Soul of the Duelist came out, so I am, naturally, missing a lot of possible cards. So, although I do feel bad that you EU guys get screwed out of cards like the SJ promos, I am glad to get this pack and get the stuff all you guys likely already have.
I'd love to get at least 1 Blue-Eyes and even 'Summoned Skull'.

But as mentioned before we will get the cards later. So if we want to compete at a higher level we have to import it now anyway. Which is impossible for some people and therefore the people who can have a monopoly. Look at Thunder King Rai-Oh for example. The manga is unobtainable in Europe without import. So to get it we have to pay more to get the manga where the card is in and then we only get the card. That's one of the reasons why people complain.
But the biggest complain is that Dark Legends is in NO way a comparison to the Europe Retro Pack. People where finally happy that for once something was released Europe ONLY and then UDE decides to give out a sort of Retro Pack which America get's sooner with much more better packs. Someone who i know also complains about why Green Baboon wasn't in the Europe Retro Pack while we never got that card officially either. And then it shows up in this pack. So that's a bit weird.

With some tournament cards, I agree. We don't get the manga/ nor Shonen Jump unless through a local store - which I've never seen. Hence, we don't get anything. I'm not a rabid collector and I don't hunt for every god damn card packet but, I believe that everyone should have the same chance to get something. People might say, hey there is ebay - eff that - people over there rip you off once they realise that the set is 'exclusive' and they overcharge on shipping.

Flame Ghost isn't all that bad. He's good synchro material with instant fusion. lol but yeah.

Well at least i'm glad that some people now know that Europe, and let's not forget also Australia and other countries, don't have as much as people thought. Japan and America have the best and first cards easily aviable compared to other countries. First japan of course cause it's OCG.

About the set it's decent and has some really good cards in it. Also some i wanted that are just rare. Even though it wonder how hard the super and higher cards will be. Cause Solemn Judgment Super in the Retro Pack was really hard to get and the secrets even harder. But that set also had lesser cards in it so who knows. Am glad that even though it comes out later it does come out in other countries. So that's a little + about this.

Last i want to mention is that it was fun discussing a bit about the America vs Europe thing but think it's all clear and over for everyone now. Hope people understand each other more. Cause even though it's a childrens card game you still play against humans who have emotions and feelings.

Complaining it was indeed but at least people now know that there really is a difference. And as mentioned even though it's a childrens card game you still (mostly) play against people with emotions and feelings. So it's logical that some feel left out and complain about such things. My reason for complaining was to explain why i thought it was a bit unfair and also explain why i think that. But also as said before am glad that even though it comes out later it does come out in other countries as well so that people can't 100% build a monopoly with importing stuff.

Some shops sell them earlier then the official release date so it could still be the right release date here on shriek. But Walmart was just impatient and sold them immediatly after they got them.

Yea, I work at wal-mart, and they had them in stock early. Luckily I was able to buy them. I got another one but only got a graceful charity out of it :(. Anyways, if you say they sold out, then maybe I should buy some more before my walmart sells out too? oh, and they were $10.9something here.
