Crimson Crisis Sneak Preview

Be the first to experience the awesome power of the newest Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set at the Sneak Peek for Crimson Crisis! For a while now, we've had cards exclusive to non-Japanese Sneak Previews (TCGX), so I doubt that the one for this set will be 'SD/B', though I won't count it out from being in cards #090-099. Also, I'm still hoping that Duel Computer does come out outside of Japan, then if so we'll get 'SD/B' with that still...

I kinda vet for 'Avenging Knight Parshath/Buster' as the SP-TCGX, although it may well be a 'Black Feather' card, like that Trap we saw Crow use that required 3 'BF' monsters to be on the field, and could be activated from the hand. Or maybe some kind of Tuner for a type that doesn't have one yet, like all the Hero monsters, or an Insect.

I highly doubt we'll get a /Buster card as the sneak peak preview card, unless it's for a Synchro monster in the set, since all sneak peak preview cards in past sets, to an extent have been playable in the sneak peak tournament. (Avenging Knight was kinda iffy since you had to have pulled LIGHT monsters to play him)
I reckon we'll get a Black Feather monster or a Buster support monster. Since we've been getting exclusive sneak peak cards they've all been monsters so I doubt we'll get a spell or trap card now. It could happen, and I wouldn't mind it, but I wouldn't bet on it.

I reckon a Lightsworn Tuner would be pretty cool, though it wouldn't be the sneak peak card. Could be a Lightsworn Ninja, we've not had one of them yet. :3

What if it's a new Synchro for either Six Samurai or Gladial-Beasts? The GB Soul Unions are pretty much Synchros already, although the Soul Union thing works for the theme better. What Types are still missing out on Tuners and Synchros? Aqua, Fish, Sea Serpent, Rock? I'm counting the Duel Terminal cards too, including the Dinos in the next set.

Please, anything but busters

I'm sorry, but besides Stardust, Arcanite, and MAYBE Hyper Psycho Gunner, the busters seem like a joke to me. You need a trap, which takes a turn to actually activate, the necessary synchros, and everything. See how slow this is? Even with all the support it has, a deck full of busters and supports won't even cut it. Some of the busters are even made for their own decks (ex. Arcanite or Doomkaiser) and don't do much in a 'buster' deck if you were to make it. A lot of them aren't worth their effects either, like Red Dragon, his effect is nice and all, but a simple dimensional prison throws him AND his effect down the toilet. Also, they're high level dead draws. Need I say more? They'd at least be better if they were synchros or hell even fusions. But because they're in the actual main deck, that takes away from better high level stuff you should be running, for example, DAD.

That's why I don't really like them and hope that the promo isn't for them, though it most likely will be. I'd rather see an Alien promo, or maybe Morphtronic, or Black Feather.

No offense to anyone else who likes the busters, but I myself just don't like them. Sorry.

Oh, and don't get your hopes up for Stardust buster. I mean, he may be in here, it seems logical, but the same could be said for LODT and the Light Ruler, and that never happened, the card was recently released in SJ months after LODT, and I would not be surprised if they did the same or similar for Stardust buster.

I really can't guess what the Sneak Preview card will be, but if it is indeed a new "/Buster" card it would definetely be only be "Avenging Knight Parshath/Buster". But I don't think that is going to happen.

Instead I think that the Sneak Preview card would (and should) be a card that helps Black Feather monsters or Insects (i think not Aliens, they get so much support with just the OCG-orignial stuff).

I think it would be more like "Special Summon any monster destroyed in battle by your monsters in Defence Position" so that it would be at the same brutal level of 'Doomkaiser Dragon/Buster'.

i think that the sneak pr. card will be a card that does a little something with buster mode. for- example 'Buster traim' dark level 3 warrior/tuner 'you can special summon this card when you have a syncro type monster on the field.you can send this card and another monster to the graveyard to select and set one buster mode from your deck or graveyard to the field. when you activate the selected buster mode send 1 card from your hand to the graveyard. No offence, but I'm sensing a little bias in your reaction, as though it's being partly fuelled by the pure fact that it's a name concocted by UDE. If you ask me, I reckon it's an alright name. After all, 'Assault Mode' is a very Western-sounding term, whereas 'Buster Mode' is much more Eastern.

Think of it this way, if you don't like it, it could've been a LOT worse. Just think back to the D-Heroes and the Deformers.

However, 'Assault Mode' doesn't fit the Trap itself very well. I'm not sure why though, it just doesn't...

I'm not bias. It's just...I see no point in when they change names like this. They could've at least just left the trap with the word "mode" and called the monsters /Assault. I mean, in the OCG it's Buster Mode for the trap, and Red Daemon's Dragon/Buster. So why do we have Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode? It'd be better to take out the Mode, but meh.

I'm not being bias, it's my opinion that name changes like that are pointless. True, it could be worse, but that doesn't mean it's not pointless.

Well, perhaps I could persuade my dad to take me to this one, seeing as it's close to my birthday, and I did pretty well in the last Sneak Preview that I went to.
After all, there are more Frogs in the set! Some day, those little guys will soar. All they need is for their opponents to think that Traps are harmless, then BAM! You flip your Froggy Forcefield, and then it's Flipped Frog's turn to wreak havoc! But wait! You're not done yet. You release Flipped Frog to let Triple Viper take a huge bite out of your opponent's LP (although I'm not sure if its effect means that you have to release a monster each time it attacks, or just before its first attack).

I'm always looking forword to the extra cards. The Secret Rares is something i want to know. I was looking up some good cards,and one caught my eyes. Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Boundary,is a great card to be on the list of extras. Attribute: WATER
Types: Sea Serpent/Synchro/Level 6, ATK/DEF:2300/1400,Number:50321796.
1 Tuner + 1 or more Non Tuner monsters
Discard any number of cards from your hand to return from the field to the owner's hand the same number of cards you discarded.
It is a Synchro monster and i think would be cool to see in the states.

The problem is, Brionac is a Duel Terminal Pack Single Card. Meaning, we have no clue about when/if the Duel Terminal cards will be released. I highly doubt they are pack SCR's or Pack promo cards. I guess we it's just a waiting in the TCG for all the awesome Duel Terminal Cards.

Aside from that, the possible 2009 Starter Deck which includes some X-Saber cards might not be released internationally for that particular reason.
The Secret Rares will most likely be promo cards aside from the Duel Terminals. We may get Stardust Dragon/Buster to fit the set's theme, but with Arcana Force Extra- THE LIGHT RULER being released in a JUMP rather than Light of Destruction (the only set to support that archetype), it may very well be in a future JUMP issue promo.

The main reason people prefer /BUSTER over /Assault Mode is because of what It conjures up when you think of it. /BUSTER makes people think of something that's gone into overdrive and changed significantly whereas /Assault Mode seems like a mere minor change in comparison.

Colossal Fighter is a pretty good - balanced card. It's hard to make it better without overpowering unless you just give it more ATK for every Warrior-Type than before.

Besides, I can call it whatever I like. Buster is easier to type up then assault mode and is the orignal name, not some crap edit made by a overprotective anime editer. I think it sounds cooler to say, but when I refer to it over the net, I would much prefer to type Buster then Assault mode.

Care to argue with me? Fine, do so, but to be honest, it is sad that you care as to what I call it.

'/Assault Mode' powers

You just have to look at all the other '/Assault Mode' monsters to see that any effect is amped up, but never quite perfect. The only protection they've got is their replacement effect when they get destroyed.
Anyways, it seems that 'CF/AM' would have a similar effect to 'DkD/AM', but you never know - 'Arcanite Magician/Buster' has a vastly more powerful effect than its normal self, while 'Hyper Psycho Gunner/Buster' has only a tad of a boost.

You know, I have been lurking these forums about . . .hmmm I would say about the past 5 months constantly watching everything you guys say and comment about, and now that have made my own Sign-in name, I think its time I have my say in these topics.

First off, Assault mode has to be THE stupidest name that americans can give for the name of a dragon, any dragon for that matter. Buster is the orginal name. End of story. Every time something from another country comes here to america, we screw it up and make it our own. Pefect example: Yugoh 5D's on 4Kids. THE only thing good about that show is the opening theme music. Once again America has to "censor" everything that they believe is bad. Yet we run around with many problems in our country that many other countires dont have granted, we are very prosperous but still the things we deal with are sometimes rediclious.

There is no way in hell we will ever get Buster DRAGONS as our promo card in the states. UDE and Konami are just not that cool yet lol <~~~~~~~~~(COMPLETE JOKE FOR THES WHO ARE TOO SLOW TO CATCH THE LOL)

Assault or Buster, when the damn cards come out CALL IT WHATEVER YOU WANT. And anyone that corrects you . . . PUNCH THEM IN THE MOUTH!

You payed for the card, call it whatever you want . . .

Im really looking forward to this set. I think its going to be very good for all people who dont run Tele-Dad decks and like their own themes or decks

The problem is that you, as an American, act like if you don't get a thing at all. Do you know how many things we had to import from the US? And now that it seems to be going to opposite direction you people complain. That's lame and should just be accepted. Things are the way they are. We here in Europe and those in Australie also had to accept that America got all the, and still do get, much better stuff. Yet things are becoming more balanced bit by bit.

Also there is so far i know absolutly NO difference between the Sneak Previews here in Europe and America. Even the SP date is the same!

I imagine Konami will allow anyone who was a UDE YuGiOh judge to judge at the Konami sneak previews since it will mean an easy and seamless transition.
I doubt you will notice any difference between the Konami sneaks and the UDE sneaks you're used to.

Also, it's rather obvious we wouldn't get Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode as the sneak peak promo. Since STON, ALL sneak peak promos have been a TCG-exclusive card, so why would it be any different this time?

So far it seems Konami have kept to their word. Yes there was some confusion over the past couple of months but now it's over and it seem Konami aren't drastically changing anything. The most we can expect to be different is PERHAPS no secret rares in the set.

The only worries I actually have are about the future of the game in Europe since UDE are still managing it, and with the recent feuding it may not be as smooth over here as in America (remember, UDE still need to get the cards off Konami).

I think this guy works out pretty well for the effort you put into bringin' him out. Let's say you tuned 'Command Knight' with 'Rose, Warrior of Revenge' to bring out 'Colossal Fighter', then transformed him into his '/Assault Mode', and dump 'Gearfried the Iron Knight' and 'Junk Synchron' with his effect. That's five Warriors, so all of your opponent's monsters lose 500 ATK. Your new, massive, ATK/3300 monster trumps even 'RDA/AM' and 'HPB/AM' with their own ATK/3500. That's pretty cool. And in that stuation, even if your attacking 'CF/AM' is taken out by 'Mirror Force', you get your 'Colossal Fighter' back, and since its '/Assault Mode' took its place in the Grave, you've still got a 3300 attacker, not counting you opponent's Warriors.
It may not be for you, but all '/Assault Mode' monsters require you to dedicate towards them.
The only '/Assault Mode' I care about getting is 'DkD/AM' for my Zombies.

Yeah with it put like that this guy can really pack a punch. I sure there is some combo not thought of yet that just makes him a monster in ATk points. When we do get the chance to run this heavy hitter Trap hole and Bottomless trap hole will need to be kept in mind, as it needs to be for every tank type monsters.

Maybe they could have given him an effect if warriors where removed from play, that would be nice

Its a combo beast

I just realized that necro guardna and D-Hero Malicious are both warriors and dark...So basically if you manage to bring him out, you can set up malicious or dump 2 guardna's to the graveyard. Adding darks to grave and stopping up to 2 atacks while getting a huge monster on the field and lowering all the opponents monsters attack points AND getting back collosal fighter when its destroyed...Not bad at all XD

So what if Konami runs it in America and UDE in Europe? The dates are the same, the promo is the same, the packs are the same and the cards are the same. Only the company that distributes it is different. That's not such a big difference to me.
Will not lower myself to lurking especially when people think they have nothing or can't deal with changes and complain about it. While in fact they actually still have the most and the changes aren't that big as they think they are.

The promo is nice but had hoped for a Black Wing card. Even though this one isn't that bad either. It has a nice effect but still don't like /Assault monsters really unless you dedicate a deck to it. Putting random Assault Mode and a /Assault version of a Synchro Monster just won't work.

My friends said the same thing about the buster cards. I'm sure over time tought we will see that you can run Busters without much more than just the Sych monster/buster card and the buster mode itself. As people are running E-Tele and Psychs.

Which bings up . . .totally off topic, but does anyone else feel that E-tele, Bons, and Command where the only thing good that has come out of this Psychic era?

Or maybe only USABLE things . . .

Let's hope Upper Deck doesn't ineterfere with this. They've done enough damage. Still i've checked my local hobby league store and the event is not on their list as of yet. I think upper Deck is brirbing stores not to take part in the sneak preview. Damn money grubbers. Konami deserves to take over. They've done a great job in Asia (japan for certain) the'll do the same here. Upper Deck should simply fold and stop trying to rip people off. I'm hoping this event does reach my hobby league store. though. GO KONAMI!!!

If it wasn't for Konami wanting this game to be for kids only, we'd be able to win awesome stuff like money (Magic the Gathering gives away thousands of dollars to tournament winners) and cool tech, instead of just more cards.
