Duelist Pack Collection 2008

Last year we got Card Ejector as a duelist pack collection tin, even though it only had DP's in it. The OCG got 5 cards as a Duel Disk set.

It's a big stretch but since Raging Battle will be a pack, would an Earthbound God be in there??

AND if these are coming out April 15th with Raging Battle then when is that series being released?? (since we're getting Crimson at the end of Feb.)

Will they release a pack of Battle like they did Crossroads? In the tin first THEN the booster series gets released??

Now that I think about it. Could the Ultra rare be Power Tool Dragon?? That would make sense since they're promoting the 5D Dragons, right?

As it stands, there's no Release Date for Raging Battle-TCG, in fact, Raging Battle-OCG isn't even out until next month. That means two months after that, TCG is getting Raging Battle in one form or another.

Is this a preview pack for Raging or is Raging's release date potentially around April if not the usual 3 months late May release (around the same time as Ancient Prophecy's strangely early release)?

After thinking it out, and about the last DP Tin, and it all leads me to believe the included card is 'Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode', with the unfortunate side effect of losing all hope of us geting the awesome DuelBox with the episode that has the 'Assault Mode' stuff.

I'm talking about 'Card Ejector', y'know? From the Duelist Pack Tin? Not the 'Just Judai' one. Although it DOES only have Yusei packs...
Which gets me thinking about it being 'SD/AM' again.
Oh, and I'm ignoring The-Strawhat, since what they said isn't confirmed.

Wow, we get 3 foil cards from Raging Battle? I wonder if they'll all be the same in every tin?? I wonder what cards they'll be?? They sure made this tin REALLY interesting. I think I'm actually going to have to get 3 of them - not to mention for the 3 Starust Assault Mode. KONAMI RULES!! :-)

Well, you have to remember that Normal Rares count as "foils", so it won't ALWAYS be a Super, Ultra or Secret, but they may reveal the odds some time later. Although, so far, only the Synchros from Raging Battle are Super+ for sure...
Oh, and the Earthbound Gods, of course.

Preview pack?

I'm not sure what the new preview pack is. Are they the same in each pack or are they common reprints in holofoil form Raging Battle? Either way this seems great. Stardust Assault Mode is such a powerful card and now everyone will be able to get it!

Duelist Genesis seems a bit odd to add the tin but oh well. Better than nothing.

So I noticed they changed the pack setup on the Raging Battle part. Since it's a preview pack of 3 foils from Raging Battle, I'm hoping it actually means 3 cards that are foils in that set. I'm worried that they might take simple commons and make them into holo versions for the "preview" pack. I'm hoping they don't do that. Bad enough they did that at the CDIP sneak preview with Justi-break. It's just 3 random foils seem too good to be true. Hmm...

I could only find two pre-order prices for the tin and they are: US$12.99 and US$84.95. I'm really confused as to why the prices are so different and why the first one's manufacturer is Upper Deck(?).

This is still a bit over a month away, so we won't know for a couple of weeks, most likely. But let's say they're all the same 3 cards. and that they're Super Rare or higher-
Which cards do you guys think they'd be?
I'm rather doubtful they'd have the "Earthbound Immortals", so my money's on the three easier-to-get Synchros. Although, there could be the chance they'll be 1 card each from the different series of monsters in Raging Battle: 'Blackwing', 'Core Chimail (Ky-mayl)', and 'Morphtronic'.

Are those 3 cards the ONLY cards? Meaning you'll get those all the time? It's not like, a random set like the tokens were in the other tins? Man, that sucks. The only good thing is the Blackwing, and I'm not even running those right now! I honestly couldn't care about the core chimail (or koa'ki meiru or whatever) cards. I was really hoping for some Morph/Power Tool preview cards, but nope. Damn. Maybe the second tin will be better. >_>

Once a promo card is given out it's immediatly legal for play. That's why it also has it's own card code. So when these cards officialy are released you can use them even though Raging Battle isn't out yet.

Unlikely, Remember the Stardust Dragon tin and the like that were released set the set releases- they were not valid for use until their respective sets were released, most likely the same situation will apply here.

Yes, they picked the three most random cards out of all.

Sure we will be getting the Core Chimair spell card (or "Koa'ki Meiru") and one of the monsters, but we have to wait at least TWO more months before we actually get the damn set. Actually release cards that will benefit the TCG metagame NOW, not then. Just like how they released Expressroid before Gladiator's Assault was released, and it was actually useful.

Shura of the Black Flame isn't the best of the Black Feather cards, but it certainly is not the worst.

I agree, calling it core chimail is better. Ko-a (core) Ki'maeru (chimail). I mean seriously, what is the point of leaving in the hiragana? I'd rather they make up a name, or at least leave cards that have cooler japanese names in hiragana instead of making up dumb translations.

My three choices

First, I want to note (for all of you that only read Shriek's TCG site) that in Raging Battle, 'Shura' and 'Guardian' are commons, while 'Iron Core' is a Rare.
At the very least of the cards that actually are, as TheDarkAngelRocket said, cards that we can actually USE, I'd say they simply should have chosen:
1) Torapart ('Trapart', but in the Eng. ep 12 that's what "Trudge" called it :P)
2) 'Junk Box'
3) 'Wicked Reborn'
or maybe 'Tuner Capture', because I just luv the picture XD

Moja is a TCG exclusive, you can tell because its effect sucks. Level 1 monster with 100 ATK and 100 DEF with a mediocre effect like that sucks.
Well at least we get Master Jeeg (Gig) and Level Retuner, two cards that can actually be used right away.

There are two tins, but other than their names (Collection Tin and Exclusive Tin) and the three Raging Battle "preview" cards, the tins are the same basically.

From what I've heard - The Shura/Iron Core/KMG Tin is a normal Duelist Pack tin and the Moja/Master Gig/Level Returner Tin (supposedly a green version) is a Target Exclusive TCG Tin like the Card Excluder Tin was.

EDIT: Yay scan posted up for confirmation. Regarding the new cards - the only one that may see use is Master Gig. Moja won't see use due to the neutering of Green Baboon and Level Returner is made redundant by Star Blast which is faster and helps with high-level monsters in hand.

Most likely since it's Argos=Target since I remember a lot of American players moaning about getting Prisma when it first came out in Argos and it later came out in as a Target Exclusive. You'd have to ask someone who handles Argos stuff to be sure though.

I'm confused.I pre-ordered the Duelist Pack Collection 2009 from ideal808.com with the Ultra Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode listed but the pic is that of the exclusive tin.The name and rarity of the card is saying i'll be getting the one with Master Gig,Level Returner,and Moja the one I want but the pic is saying otherwise.I send them an email regarding this issue and asked if the tin they give is random and if not if I can switch my order to the Duelist Pack Collection Tin 2009.

I also pre-ordered 3 tins from Ideal808. It says they have the "Collection Tin" which means we would get the tin with Moja/Master Gig/Level Returner.

I actually wanted the one with the Blackwing Shura in it BUT I could really use the Master Gig.

I guess I'll have to get 3 of the other ones as well but I wish they would be clear on where these different tins will be available. "Exclusive Tin" or "Collection Tin". Geez, couldn't they just randomly insert a set of 3 like they did with the Token's??

Um, it's one of the types, like Psychics, Warriors, and, as you said, Winged-Beasts.
'Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest' and 'Berserk Gorilla' are examples of Beast-Type monsters.
It wouldn't include Beast-Warriors or Winged-Beasts.
Cards like 'Icarus Attack' couldn't use anything but Winged-Beasts.

Yeah, I thought it was simple too. If the card had "Beast" in it's name then you could summon it. Beast-Warrior, Winged-Beast, etc. I thought were all counted so you could Special Summon them.

I bought my two tins today at target, I live in GA. Man these are really worth the price. I mean yeah sure the Yusei DP is not that gret but the BF monster was so worth the walk and 20 bucks I spent! Shura is an awesome moster for BF decks!

Yes I went to Target. I know target is only suppost to have Exclusive but, my Target had both. They only had 3 Shura Tins (and now they only have 1 lol) and 5 Master Gig tins.

BTW I bought TWO tins so they where in total 20. The Tins came out to be about $10.30-$10.50 something.

Same for me

My Target in Lincoln RI. has about 10 each of both tins. I bought 2 of the green tins. The one thing that I noticed is that the regular blue tin states that it contains 4 packs +1 promo card and the green tin states that it contains 5 packs +1 promo card.
