In a special online survey in May 2009, fans were asked to give their input on which cards should go in the common and rare slots for this 20-card set. Find out which cards made the cut!

Turbo Packs are NOT a for-sale item, and are only available as a participation prize in official tournaments.

Sorry to say this, but that's kind of selfish.

Take note into other players, people who have the mindset in this game but not the money. Think about the economy, the recession we're in. Think about that.

You honestly want to keep your value? Fine. Vote for CCV so it comes out, and BEFORE it drops, sell it for the couple hundred bucks. Then go buy more when it's cheaper.

Especially if you see in tournaments, CCV is one of those cards that is very hard to fight against. So the people that can't afford it are to be left out and lose? That's taking the game away from skill and into a rich/poor battle royale. Which I don't think the game is or should be.

Just saying. Be thankful, grateful, and giving that you have a CCV when most don't. Don't be arrogant and selfish.

If it dose go into the turbo pack as a super or ultra it's price will still be way ass high, trust me I know this look what happened to Cyber Stien, he was a $1500 card when it first came out, then when he was reprinted as a base rare his price did drop big time but is still the highest priced base rare. So if Crush dose get reprinted I can still see it going for $100+.

I think that this is a really good idea. It certainly helps out during these tough economic times. Hopefully CCV will be chosen along with all the other good cards they had to choose from. That's the problem.

CCV isn't broken on its own, it's mainly the price. Only people with the money to shell out for it can afford it, meaning THOSE are the people that will abuse it more, and get more wins. By making it available to everyone, including people with less money, it isn't as one-sided anymore, and becomes more balanced.

In any case since I don't play competitively or collect any more I just picked cards that would allow beginners to get a powerful deck faster, because face it, one of the things that keeps games alive is getting new people playing, and who would want to start playing if you had to spend lots of money just to get a deck that's going to get thrashed by people who've been playing for a while?
And as for anyone who would respond to that with "But then there'd be no difference between decks of newbs and pros", then I say this: playing Yugioh should not be about having enough money to buy the most powerful deck to win. It should be about having enough skills to construct powerful and interesting strategies to win. Balancing the playing field in terms of costs should help with this.

To those who have CCV already and are therefore moaning/not voting for it:

STFU. You have to remember that you account for a tiny percentage of TCG players in the world, and I'm pretty sure the higher majority will still be voting for a rare CCV even if your precious Gold Rare/SJC ultra will dramatically go down in value on the secondary market, something of which I'm sure both UDE and Konami (maybe not so much UDE) frown upon. Why can't you accept that this is a card GAME, meaning it was made for fun and recreational purposes, not high secondary markets and a creation of a dueling hierarchy.

So please...stop moaning about it and think about the higher majority.

For those who are concerned CCV will just be another short print and think Konami are doing the same as UDE:

I disagree, surely this is a sign that Konami are not only trying to keep people playing despite the volatile environment atm, but they're also trying to encourage new players to try the game. Even if CCV is a short print (which I doubt, not even Gold Sarc or DAD are short prints in GS2), I think on a secondary market, it wont go for much more then £20 at best (if it is a rare of course, I may be wrong). I don't want to make this side of TCG players angry, because I'm one of them and I would be slightly annoyed if it is a short print, but I'll still try get hold of one, and it will certainly be easier to do so. But who knows, we might even get lucky and it will be easy to get hold of much like in the OCG?

Thats why i play Ocg and not tcg. My other OCG friend built a cyber dark deck that uses crush and dark armed and some other would be hard to get cards, its a fun and crazy deck. This is an example of why TCG needs to learn that the game is meant to be fun and strategic, not pricey and one sided. The most expensive cards in Japanese are like 80-50 doallars, and simply because there holos; they are non staple too.

If i get CCV,i would put it in my Spellcaster Deck. I have all of the Virus cards in it,expt CCV. It has a lot of dark spellcarter's with 1000 and lower,it would work pretty well in it. Maybe CyberDark,but the only dark monters in it that are below 1000 are CyberDark Keel,Horn and Edge. Everything else is 2000 or higher.

Idea for a compromise.

A lot of folks seem to be wanting Crush Card Virus to either not be printed and stay stupidly hard to get, or go common-print and be as widespread in the TCG as it is in the OCG.

I say split the difference: Super Rare CCV. Just rare enough to keep a fair amount of value, just common enough that it's not stupidly hard to get ahold of.

(What can I say, Super Rare's always been my favorite card rarity.)

Seriously, TCG players will finally taste what its like in OCG, having to worry about every deck that they might have ccv set, dark armed waiting, and 3 solemns cramped into a deck. Why are so many tcg players complaining? these Cards may be good, but a truley skilled player should see it dsoent matter; skill will always beat a noob player who has these cards. And seriously o noe my cards arent worth a bajillion doallrs in englsih anymore? seriously come on? you guys are complaining over reprints? WTF? in OCG, solemns , mirror forces, ccvs, bribes, burdens, all the good shit has been reprinted and no one complains? WE WELCOME IT?! The only way cards in ocg build value are there useful ness in the meta and their age. Think about it, an orginal blue eyes white dragon ultra rare from 1998 in american is like what a dollar? a Holo japanese blue eyes from legend of blue eyes in 1998 comes out around 30 bucks American, because in japan stuff like that is valued for how long theyve been around, and sometimes not just for their usefullness.

Im not kidding, im not speaking about all tcg players, but seriously alot of you guys need to stop thinking about getting your whole deck holo before how well your deck can win a duel or beat other players? I see to many duelists grubbing their hands over rare versions of their cards and overlooking how well their deck actually plays. I mean its good to holo out your deck, but man your win ratio better be fucking amazing to earn that title.

And why cant you guys look on the bright side? with these reprints you can make more crazy decks that you have never been able to make cuz they where so expensive? me personally i own 15 solemns, because there so accessible in ocg.

Seriously TCG, wake the fuck up. Your meta and games are going to be rocked by people whose only thing that held them down from making ground breaking decks where money costs.

Hey man for serious, this game should be played for fun right? I mean for me and my friends who play ocg, the main reason we play is to make fun crazy ass decks ; money isnt usually a problem because the most expensive card in Japanese is like superbia ( $60) ( can u believe that star dust /buster was around 50-100 japanese? but its getting reprinted already)

And Im not dissing all tcg players, i myself have a lot of tcg player friends, but man ive played so many other random regional tcg players with my japanese decks and have crushed them up so brutally and all they do is complain on how " you got crush card, your shit is broken" im just like dude everyone in tcg meta runs the same deck, take a look at japanese meta random shit is topping all the time. why? Cuz people explore every time of possibility in ocg, and they turn out to work in the end, (Dragon Nohr, Trago- gadet, Infinity highlander, rescue synchro anyone?)

I want this game to become universal as it once was, so that it dosent matter the origin of the cards, the age of the player, or the rarity of your deck; that the fun factor of this game is to play skilled players and have fun dueling.

Thinking about it

Personally, I have made a very bad experience about running meta decks. I have to say, I'm a lucker, with booster packs (yes, I've got Crush Card Virus without being rich...), but I never was a lucker in playing yugioh. Once I had made such a stupid Meta Deck called Lightsworn. I had about 95% of the deck and I played with it at my first tournament. Unlucky I am in playing, all those Metaluckers just killed me by drawing better cards. So I have made a dessicion to play only Non-Meta decks. I selled all my Lightsworn stuff, cause I never want to play them again.

Today, I play only Decks, that nobody in my region plays or knows. First of all, I played Plant-Skill Drain, like those in Japan, and topped tournaments here, cause nobody was prepared for such a deck. Then it was Rescue Synchro, that was funny to play, but as players built their owns I stopped playing Rescue and created a Blackfeather Deck...until they all Blackfeather and Rescue Play-Decks had...now I play a Deep-Sea-Diva-Synchro especially built for summoning Tempest Magician (The one and only Synchro Monster for me^^)...playing this deck is just fun and i built it on my own...I love playing TCG, cause if you play against Metaluckers, they're surprised if you don't play a normal deck.

I hope, even i've got a crush card, that it get reprinted, that everyone can get it.^^

this marks the return of the dreaded 100 dlls tournament prize card (chaiser, jar, dd warrior, needle worm, etc) i was really hoping for the easy release of this card that i,m almost 100 pocert that all of us that voted included CCV as one of the rare card, this is becouse we need it every one should have at least a deasent chance of getting one i am not against the ones who get a proffit on the secndary market but its these kind of desitions that drive the prices up...
really i had my hopes up to atleast buy it for 30 buck max but with this anouncement mi hopes went crashing down like the real estate market.(old dude comparison).

Now that I bought the Gold CCV comes this news.
My concern is not that she will drop the price, because even rare i'd buy tha Gold one *_*, the big problem is that if she comes rare, with an easy access to get it, she will be banned in this September list = (

ummm you do realize that the ban list happens because of cards that impact both ocg and tcg right? CCV is only 5 bucks USD in ocg, and it hasnt been banned yet. If anything, ccv is a savior card because it has the ability to save a duelist from absolute defeat.

For the love of Christ you guys get D.D. Assailant as a common, in ocg minimum price is like 15 dollars.

ccv price will fall a little but not so much like the holo one will be
like $125
and the rare will be like $55
but as more and more tournaments hand these out as price support the more chance we will have at getting one
me and gonna be entering every tournament out there to try and pull one or possibly trade charge for it if i pull that instead

good card = expensive card...Just look at the past when Magic stone excavation it was Ultra From CP02.....they Kill the DDT deck(the only on that she played) and then the bring her common to us....better leave as ultra and dont kill the DDT =P

Why should CCV be banned...cause it's very strong and easy accesable...erm...CCV is since very many years in Japan as Common playable and accesable and it was never banned...so why should CCV be banned now?...the lists are made in japan and are made for the japanese meta game, not for ours...so, it won't be banned

I wish all cards where common to honest with all u there shouldn't be a super hard to buy/get card. This way everyone could enjoy this game and have fun and not complain. Because really yugioh cards r just pieces of special paper why waste soooo much money on one card. Thats what I believe anyway =/

This may be the single most impressive tourney pack ever created in the history of Yu-gi-oh Re-prints...I mean there are hardly if even any cards that are lame in this pack.....I mean JD and DoomCalibur not to mention CCV as a rare....if this is Turbo Pack one......Turbo Pack 2's got a lot to live up to when that comes time....if this is where Konami is headed with Yu-gi-oh...I can honestly say....I AM SOLD......AMEN CCV IS A RARE

Hell yeah, Ultimate Judgment Dragon! I seriously hope it's available in Ultra too, though I doubt it (being TU01-EN000 sounds like it'll be hard to pull). Rare CCV is pretty sweet too, and my friend who play Six Sams is going to love Grandmaster being rare. Super Black Whirlwind sounds like it'll be sweet too.
Shame you can't buy these, but in some ways thats a good thing as it promotes more organized play. I wonder how many tournaments we'll see these at?

I'd really like more copies of 'Trade-In' and 'Armageddon Knight', and a shot at 'Satellite Cannon' would be nice too.
Oh, and I guess CCV would be nice. It may be a great card, but since it came out, it hasn't been all that great. Last format, monsters hit by the Virus got dumped to the Grave just let your opponent bring 'em back with 'Call' and 'Premature'. It may be a bit tougher this format, but there's also less for the Virus to destroy.
I guess it'll maybe change at the end of the month, but not likely.
