The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Collectible Tins are the marquis releases every year, featuring the most popular and powerful monsters on a sleek and sturdy protective metal case. The first of 2 waves of Tins kicks off this August with the twin releases of the Twins' Dragons - Leo's 'Power Tool Dragon' and Luna's 'Ancient Fairy Dragon'! From Raging Battle and Ancient Prophecy, these two powerful dragons pack quite a punch and make a great addition to any Duelist's Synchro Deck. These dragons are some of the most prominent and beloved monsters featured on the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's animated series, and will feature prominently in the storyline well into 2010.

This is awesome!! What great tins!! And sleeves to boot! I wonder why they say "3 other sought after packs"?? Why keep it a secret. I'm glad they have Ancient Prophecy. That will make me buy LOTS! :-) I'm REALLY looking forward to this set. Ancient Fairy Dragon RULES! (no it's not like it's playable but I love the art and story that went with it)

I honestly think I'm more excited about the sleeves than anything else :) . It will be nice to get an earlier chance at Blackwing Vayu, and i definately hope the tcg exclusives will be a bit more impresive this time around, but over all great Job konami!

I wonder why they went from 6 tins a year to 4? Especially now that they're bringing them out in waves. It was rough when all six would be released at once but if they did 3 and 3 it wouldn't be bad at all.

I really liked when they would add never before released cards to them. Like D-Hero Plasma was. I have to admit Turbo Warrior was....an odd choice.

I have to agree with you that it would be nice if they started releasing ocg promos again as tins. But i think as long as the synchros are so big we probably won't see that happening .As far as releasing only four tins goes , if you think back usually only 4 of the promos were any good anyway, so it makes sense from a business stand point to cut it down to 4. sucks for collectors, but makes sense

Yeah, I see your point. I think the '05 tins were good but E-Hero Neos was a bit pointless. I mean the card is bad a$$ as a secret holo but...

I get what you're saying about Synchro monsters but there are a TON of hard to get cards they could throw in. I mean we're getting pretty well caught up on Japan's cards aren't we? Japan keeps getting 80 cards sets and we get 100 to catch up.

Hey, maybe the next two tins will be X-Sabre cards?? Blackwings??

While it is true that we have been getting 20 more cards in our sets only 10 of those cards have been previous ocg releases, and we definately still have alot of catching up to do. But i would definately welcome more dt cards , and if we were to get Blackwing- lone silver wind as a promo i most certaintly won't complain (wink wink konami..)

Still probably wishful thinking, but it really isn't that far fetched. One thing for sure , i really hope we don't get any immortals. Perhaps a dark synchro?

Power Tool could be neat 4 plant decks, especially when the warriors structure deck comes out - both supervis and the previously released mark of the rose are playable equip cards in plant decks so Power Tool could be a neat way of bringing those out of the deck. But yeah, not so much usable in other decks.

Thier going to put Majestic Star Dragon and Earthbound Immortal Wiraqocha Rasca in Tin Set 2!!!
Was hoping to give Majestic Star Dragon a try. I have a cool deck that i has the power to rise and lower the levels of monsters on the field. So i feel a little lucky. Now getting Majestic Dragon(it's the tuner to make him)that maybe hard to find....lol
I was hopeing to make a Earthbound Immortal deck,this just makes things easyer.

Power Tool Dragon

They put Power Tool there because it is the supposed "Fifth Dragon" and is also the signature monster of Leo/Rua. Still, I'm surprised they did not put Black Feather- Armor Master (Armored Wing) as one of the fourth viable tins. It is Crow's signature beast after all and is effective in metagame.
Still, it's not like Ancient Fairy Dragon is really any better. She has a respectable 3000 DEF, but simply destroying Field Spells for Life is a bunch of uselessness. Plus, you can't attack on the turn it is used. If anything, at least Power Tool Dragon can send an Equip Spell Card to prevent it from being destroyed. Also, being a Machine monster gives it plenty of more perks.

Decent Two Cards

The cards that they put in the second wave of 2009 tins are decent to say the least.
First, Savior Star Dragon (damn "Majestic Star Dragon" in English) has a lot of perks behind it. I'm not surprised it was added considering that they have added the Neos fusions in the 2006 and 2007 tins. Despite having a very limited summoning requirement (requiring three monsters in most cases, two of which are specific monsters and the last is a Level 1, to summon it). It can cripple your opponent's field and has a respectable 3800 ATK (not saying it's anything like FGD or BEUD).
The second one is Wiraqocha Rasca- somewhat surprised but given that it is Go(o)dwin's signature card, I can understand. Still, I would have wished some of the better Gods (namely Aslla piscu and Ccapac Apu) would have been included. Getting at the most 3100 ATK at the cost of sending 3 other cards you control. Yeah... But it lacks any other "special" effects. Ccalaiya can destroy all cards on the field, Aslla piscu can destroy all monsters and inflict 800 damage, Ccapac Apu has a Flame Wingman effect.
