Lol...if this is real, than they are doing this like I said. I had said to them, that we from Europe won't play with this machines and they should bring these cards to us in packs à 5 cards.

Well, I'm sorry, but for me, at least, the word of some random dude on the internet doesn't cut it as far as "accurate Yugioh news" goes. As the old saying goes, pics or it never happened.

That's a good point, us in europe don't have the Duel Terminals, so it is quite likely for us to get the DT cards in standard booster packs where the US will get them in the actual duel terminals. And as you said, 5 cards per pack fits a 30-card booster set, which is how big the sets would be without reprints.

I doubt that the Duel Terminals proper would come to the US; Konami has already tried twice to get them off the ground here, and it seems like both times failed miserably. So I wouldn't be surprised if, if this IS a DT pack, they released it in the US, as well.

But, again, we only have unconfirmed rumors, and I've learned through my research into that idiotic Seal of Orichalcos rumor that hearsay is not proof of anything.

True, although as I recall the previous Duel Terminal tryouts were just that - tryouts, not intended as the actual release. So either Konami were satisfied with the tryouts and the Duel Terminals will start off properly around the same time, or the US will get this booster too (or both, as you said, no evidence so far that the US isn't getting these).

And yeah, I'm going to hold off my excitement for this until I see some official announcement. As likely as this might be, we've been disappointed by false Duel Terminal rumours/opportunities in the past (in particular, the actual Duel Terminal tryouts without the new DT cards)

If the Duel Terminals weren't a failure, then why haven't they announced a release date for them? Why did they do not one but TWO trial runs of them in TWO separate conventions almost 2, 3 years apart? That doesn't scream "epic success" to me; that sounds like epic failure, like they're struggling to find a market for it in the US.

I'm not treating it as a life-and-death situation, but we DO need these cards, especially the first DT set; with the XX-Saber and Flamvell support in Ancient Prophecy, and more expected in later sets, we're going to need the rest of those cards released in the DT sets if we want to build a proper deck around them. And what if they decide to make support for the Ice Boundary monsters in future sets? Or Ally of Justice support? Those would be useless to us without the cards in the Duel Terminal sets.

But, again, how do we know that this pack IS the Duel Terminal cards? We don't; all we have is some ramblings from some random people that we can't even verify. For all we know, it COULD be just a European-exclusive reprint of older cards that we DO have in the TCG, and if that's the case, then I'm going to laugh my ass off, since all this speculation and hype would be for nothing. So let's just chill until we know more, okay?

like i already said, there's no telling that this will be exclusive to europe. after all it's "just" a TCG set, so it'd be rather stupid to not release it to the US, no? ;P

Well, when there's only two Flamvell monsters available in the TCG, with the rest being in the Duel Terminals, yes, I DO have a right to complain about not having a proper theme deck, if I want to use the Flamvell monsters we already have.

It looks like it'll have all of the non-reprint cards from the first Duel Terminal, so yes, they will be tournament legal, but no, not all of the cards be new, just most of them.

It's only 30 cards.


All DTs (each and every one thus far) are 50 cards with exactly 30 new cards (the actual ones we look at) and 20 reprints.

I think without the Duel Terminals themselves which really only work out in a place like Japan, they won't hold this pack to have reprints. It would be like if Absolute Powerforce had reprints, people would rage over that and Konami knows that.

It also mentions each team that started in DT01 except the AOJ even though they're guaranteed here. I would to ask why Ally of Justice aren't mentioned.


Also, you know people will ask about those "supposedly" non-tournament legal Catastor's and whether or not those are legal after this comes out.

I was hoping for Ally of Justice to be coming out. On my YGO DS game,i put my real life Cyber Dark Dragon deck in it. After that,i added Ally of Justice monsters to see what would happon. it works well. So now i would like to get my hands on some of them.

Now for X-Sabers, we get some from the starter deck. So theirs like only three or so more(unless they put the ones from the starter too in it) and the one Synchros. We'll just to see how things work out.

Unless you've been hiding away for a while you should know that there were X-Sabers in Ancient Prophecy. Which is an extra 5 monsters (including 1 synchro) in addition to the ones you get in the starter deck.
Also, the Ally of Justice monsters will likely be in this as the set is 30 cards and the first Duel Terminal set had 30 new cards in, including the X-Sabers. So don't worry your self.

I couldn't undrstand it at first either, but the XX-Sabers also count as "X-Sabers" as well.

So, We're getting Hidden Arsenals to carry through the Duel Terminals? Interesting... Even more interesting is NO MENTION OF THE ALLIES OF JUSTICE! It'll probably be 6.99 a pack, like the Premium packs had been.

But thats no problem, cause the most Monsters referring to "Mist Valley" have in their text "or [Roc from the Valley of Haze]".

None of them have "or [Roc from the Valley of Haze]" in them. If you can read the text, you'll notice it doesn't have that bit in (it's quite easy actually, just look at the text and you'll notice 「霞の谷の大怪鳥」 isn't in it). Some sites add the "or [Roc from the Valley of Haze]" bit just to clarify that Roc is part of the archetype (even, if you look at the kanji in the names both Roc and all the other Mist Valleys have the same 霞の谷 at the start).

So yeah, unless they add the line [or "Roc from the Valley of Haze"]; to every single mention of "Mist Valley" (including the Synchro requirements, which will make for tons of text on the Synchros), it's most likely Roc will just be errata'd.

I have looked on other sites, as you written that, and it's really so, that "or [Roc from the Valley of Haze]" isn't written on the texts. But maybe they're not errata the text, maybe they just add a ruling.

Hopefully that'll hush those who insisted the Ally of Justice cards weren't in it just because they weren't initially mentioned. :)

Mist Wurm is not a "Worm" and that is on purpose. It's Mist Valley both in form and in theme as well as stats.

It's a WIND/Thunder monster that bounces cards on the field for free, not a LIGHT/Reptile that has some effect around setting cards or face-down monster.

The name makes "sort of" sense when you realize it's a living Gravity Bind. Freezing people to prevent attacks.

It'll be restricted as per the date of release of this pack matching OCG as usual, possibly preemptively like the day before in preparation.

Because ALL of the cards are either Secret or Super? Seriously, this is just like the Premium Packs.

Well, it seems fair to guess that the remaining names are all the same as the translated versions. Since Konami took full charge, they've left the names nearly unchanged.
I wouldn't blame Shriek for doing that, since it's only a week away (Finally!! X3).
I really want the Kuriboh cards still, but I really want more Synchros.

But does anyone else feel a bit off-put that they haven't announced the 2nd set? We're already over a year and a half behind the OCG with these cards, and the OCG cards are nice but not tournament legal still.

There won't be an errata in the card's effect, as the Macro Cosmos thing is a ruling problem, NOT an error or clarification problem with the card's effect, itself. If anything, it'll have a footnote in its rulings about its clash with Macro Cosmos.

Why the hell should they ban Bronic or Mist? Why because you think its broken? Dude, yes its a very good card and can be a game changer but, that does not mean its hard to kill. Are you kidding me? Um...what? Dude, this is a PREMIUM PACK! These things are INEXPENSIVE! You don't have to be Bill Gates to get a Brionac in this pack, so stop whining about the damn price. As I've tried to say before, RARITY MEANS JACK WHEN IT COMES TO HOW HARD A CARD IS TO GET, OR HOW EXPENSIVE IT IS.

And DivineVictory, you're an idiot; GB and Lightsworn decks are EASY to build, AND inexpensive, to boot; my mate has a pure GB deck, and it didn't take him very long OR very much to build, and that includes getting enough Gyzaruses, Test Tigers, Heraklinoses, and whatnot to complete it. And you don't NEED those decks to "win", regardless if you're rich or poor; all you have to do is build a deck that's strong enough to defeat your opponent with, and that could be ANY deck - how do you think new tournament-winning decks like Dimensional Eatos, Coelacanth OTK, or even Rescue Cat Synchro came into being? It's not because they were the go-to decks to win with, it's because SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE came up with it, ON THEIR OWN, by exploiting combos that weren't immediately obvious to other people. Anyone remember how Pot of Avarice was considered crap when it was first released? Anyone? What about when that opinion reversed itself after someone created the Magical Merchant Pot Turbo deck out of it? Anyone? Hell, even CED:EotB/Yata-Garasu was a combo that no one previously thought would work (hell, before that deck came out, YATA-GARASU was considered to be a shit card). Making a competitive deck has NOTHING to do with the "staples" that the netdecking bastard elitists are flaunting around, OR about how much you earn and can afford to pay; it's all about HOW you build the deck. Mirror Force is considered a good card, and it's not going for much. People were ready to condemn DAD as useless, once it got restricted to one, and its price DROPPED DRAMATICALLY when it was reprinted and, thus, made easier to get a hold of. And expect the same when Honest and Charge of the Light Brigade are reprinted. And need I remind you that Gale the Whirlwind - one of the "money cards" that you so love to tout about - is a NORMAL RARE, and thus, EASY TO GET?

A LOT of the decks that became popular and powerful in a tournament STARTED OUT as creative "Billy" decks, decks that - nowadays - most people scoff at. Apparently, because each time I mention them, I get bitched at for bringing up "sucky creative decks that would get pwned by DAD-Lighsworn-Gladiator-Cat-Blackwing-Synchro-OTK".

And if you think that people put any thought to the decks, currently, then you really ARE a moron; the first duelists who created the decks certainly did, but they are the ONLY ONES; everyone NOW that play those same decks are netdecking. NETDECKING, as in copying straight off of their local tournament deck lists card for card, expecting to bitchslap their opponents with the "awesome might" in their hand. There's no brains needed to use Dimensional Prison, or Judgment Dragon, or Dark Armed Dragon. You want a deck that someone's put actual thought into? Go check out the OCG tournament winners; it's got Final Countdown decks that placed third in them, and even a Ben Kei OTK that placed there, too. Final Countdown and Ben Kei; those are two decks you'd never expect to survive in this day in age, but there you go, somehow they DID. True, they only placed third, but that's a HELL of a lot better than OTHER decks in those tournaments fared, and a HELL of a lot better than most elitists would consider a deck with that theme to fare.

If you honestly think that loads of money and netdecking are the only way of making a decent, playable deck, then you truly are a moron. Cards get reprinted and made cheaper as new decktypes come out, new strategies are created, and new tournaments are won by them, inspiring all the netdecker elitists to drop the decks you see dominating tournaments, right now, in favor for the "New deck that PWNS everyone else". 1. The game IS at the point where "creativity comes out on top", because THAT IS HOW THE FUCKING NETDECKS ARE CREATED IN THE FIRST PLACE, YOU MORON! Obviously, you haven't been listening to a damn word I say; how did Chaos-Garasu came into being? Someone got the bright idea to exploit CED:EotE's effect with the then-considered useless Yata-Garasu. How did Rescue Cat Synchro came into being? Someone noticed how many Synchros could be gotten out by using Rescue Cat to summon Airbellum and another Beast with its effect. How do all of the OTK decks we see pop up in tournaments come into being? SOMEONE had the creativity to put the combo for the OTK together. Most of the decks that were popular in tournaments THEN and NOW were created, because someone was CREATIVE and saw the potential combos they could exploit that no one else did. Again, Pot of Avarice was considered shit when it first came out, but it took it being made into a tournament-winning deck to make everyone realize how good it was. The decks you gleefully bash over everyone's head had to be made by SOMEONE, and the moment something NEW and BETTER comes around, you'll dump your current weapon for THAT one.

2. If you run GB and Lightsworns, then you're likely a netdecker, so that blows your argument out of the water. Plus, you weren't complaining about them, you were reaffirming the stereotype that the ONLY way people could win is to netdeck, because obviously the ONLY way poor people could win is if they're fortunate enough to get Brionac or Dark Strike Fighter, and netdeck their way to victory. A single variant card in a deck does not make it unique, I'm sorry. Seriously, I've had enough of a headache from the idiots on the OCG site bitching about how the Lightsworn builds on there suck because they're missing Heavy Storm, of all cards. If you have the same decktype, the same strategy, and the same cards in it minus one or two cards that are different, then that is NOT unique, that is you netdecking and compensating for cards you don't have. Being unique with a deck would be if a good quarter of your deck's cards are different from all the other builds out there, and you use a different strategy entirely, OR use different combos to achieve the same effect; you can create a Beatdown deck, but there's so many variants to a Beatdown deck, from Aggro to Skill Drain to Normal Exploit to Toolbox, that your deck would be unique to anyone else's. You can have a Dark Armed Synchro deck, but which one do you use: Dark Armed Rescue Cat Synchro? Dark Armed Blackwing Synchro? Dark Armed Plant Synchro? Dark Armed Zombie Synchro? Dark Armed Teleport Synchro? Do you focus more on exploiting Vayu's effect or Gale's effect if it's Dark Armed Blackwing? Do you use Summoner Monk? Do you exploit Sea Koala's effect in Dark Armed Rescue Cat? How you answer those questions and how they match up with the tournament decks determines whether it could legitimately be called "original" or not.

I was the only person at 4 fucking events to run my BF without Black Whirlwind and run a play set of Swallows Nest. Why? because I thought swollows nest is the shit! and I still think its the shit!

when the lightsworns came out i thougth they were all awefull and i wouldnt touch them. however i kept lyla because i liked the blue background. then later when the turbo warrior tin came out i got a random charge of the light brigade. I was excited because i got random ultra rare rose, warrior of revenge and Drakknight parshath too plus i knew charge was worth some money. Then that day i went to cards and kidd had a judgment dragon. i figured i could use it to get stuff from guys who had stuff i wanted but need cards that are rarer then what i had. i traded a thought ruler archfiend and pre relese rose, warrior of reveng. However, i did not know that judgment was worth as much as it was to is. then later i started using cards to make decks for what ever putting archtypes and deck styles i liked together. so just for the crap of it i knew i had enough lightsworns to run a lightsworn deck so i put it together. then when i figured out how rediculouse judgement dragon was i freaked and decided to use that deck. then much later guys traded me all the cards i need to run a real lightsworn deck, except i had to find my own luminia's which was harder than it should be. then through vigorous testing i used what workde for my numbers. i found the difficulty to get a card from my deck to my hand and fast gameplay suitable to me. After that i finally got dark armed dragon from gold pack and went to use twilight style (chaos at 2 who would do such a thing). then i got vayu later and maximus at the pre release and i now have my deck. so what if it is generic it's my generic deck with my build and i never used anyone elses. Except teldad decklist to make a deck to beat mine for a real challenge but thats not my deck is it. so basically dont think that everyone that uses good cards is a netdecker some are and they are sad people but when and more over if lightswons get destroyed by ban list which i severly doubt i will run my aliens which i did the same thing with.
so i can be on an offensive side to i created this profile for all the stupid early repliers that make up so much crap you want to punch them in the face for being stupid. you know the ones the ones that are like every special edition will be dark armed dragon and judgment dragon. plus stupid ideas on card effects, rarities, and exclusives in the new sets.

I don't like netdecking, because it's an elitist's excuse to not put in any fucking effort into their decks. I don't netdeck, because I want the game to be a CHALLENGE, and I like coming up with unique, creative decks that could be viable in practice.

And I do NOT go to tournaments, because it's filled with those selfsame elitist assholes that make the game not fun. Why the hell would I waste my time dueling against the same fucking netdeck over and over, controlled by assholes with the same fucking depreciating attitude? No thanks; those assholes have nothing but my contempt, and I wouldn't be caught DEAD in a tournament with them. It's even worse when the JUDGES get in on the elitist act; the last time my mate and I were in a local tournament, not only did the asshole elitists my mate dueled against bash his deck for not being a cookie-cutter of theirs (one even had the gall to give my mate's monsters derisive "cutesy" names like "peacock" for Gyzarus, and insisted on calling them that, no matter how many times my mate politely asked him to stop), but one of the JUDGES came over and bashed on the deck, too, saying he needed to make it more like the netdecks being played, there. With an atmosphere like that, why WOULD I play in a tournament?

I'm talking about rarities, demand, unique ideas, and suck, because the elitist assholes have FORGOTTEN THE FACTS ABOUT THEM; they forget that rarities mean jack shit when it comes to how much a card is worth on the market, or how easy it is to get from a pack or from ebay; they forget that most of the value in a deck on the market comes from their demands for it to fit in their netdecks (as well as the number of times its been reprinted, which LESSENS the amount of the card, with each reprint...which, ironically, those same idiots STILL bitch about, because now their cards aren't worth jack shit, and EvERYONE can get it, instead of them having a monopoly on it); they forget that EVERY FUCKING NETDECK IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME started out as a unique deck, and it will BE unique decks that win tournaments like Regionals that inspire a whole new wave of netdecks (again, am I the only one who remembers when everyone was raving over Chain Burn, or Manticore Exodia, or Monarch Control? Obviously, considering the responses I get when I mention them); they forget all of these obvious, logical, and TRUE things about the game, in their unbridled lust to win their precious tournaments. And what do they win? Their deck posted online, a few packs maybe, and...thats it. The expense needed to get that far far outweighs the prizes you get, for placing first. All they're really getting is BRAGGING RIGHTS, bragging rights that will be FORGOTTEN by the time the NEXT tournament rolls around. They're living in a fleeting, pointless, never-ending vicious cycle, and trying to pull in the GOOD players - the ones who actually CARE about the game, DON'T care about winning, and actually like having FUN with it - down with them. It's assholes like DivineVictory that are the problem, and the game is NOT going to get any better, if we don't do something about it. Hell, Konami is starting to CATER to these assholes with the Twilight Deck pack they're coming out with; direct and blatant catering to the DAD/Lightsworn netdeckers. Fuck that noise.

If you lose 3 monsters and all you get is 3 cards bounce or protect a monster from dying ONCE a turn and you can't choose when, or you get to draw ONE card, that is NOT a fair ratio at all.


Trident Dragon wants 2 monsters and 2 MORE cards just to get to attack 3 times JUST ONCE. That's a bad ratio, especially when there are PLENTY of cards that gives much more for 2 monsters alone. For 3 monsters and only getting 2500 ATK, Mist Wurm should bounce their whole field. Same with Obelisk? 3 monsters and THEN 2 monsters and all it does is Raigeki and it can't even attack? How many card blow up a whole field for almost nothing but 3 monsters and 2500 ATK and you get 3 cards? Mist Wurm isn't not a bad card, just not going to see REGULAR use, but if one wants to use it, you should. No one stopping you.


If anything, people want the cost to be equal to the effect. We keep getting too much for too little or too little for too much. No middle ground.

Doesn't mean people aren't bitching and too much so for the wrong reasons though.
