Are we even sure that we'll be able to use it in a duel.
I don't see a THIS CARD CAN NOT BE USED IN A DUEL,were the card code should be at.
I have Ra,i would love to have a playable Verson to have in my deck.
But we need to see if or if not this card can be use outside of are homes.

It was made for the 10th Anniversary of the game (which is still this year, but the birthday itself was last January).

It came out in Japan almost a year ago as part of all this anniversary stuff.

Yes, you will legally be able to use DNA Surgery, declare "Divine-Beast" and all of your monsters will be "God cards" sort of. It serves no purpose, but it will just be cute to say your Blue-Eyes White Dragon is a God Card.

Of course, if Tribe-Infecting Virus was legal, you could declare Divine-Beast to kill a god card.

The card states, when normal summoned, no spells, traps, of effect monsters can be activated.

So all of those cards cannot be used if this card is summoned. It's kind of like a Tactical Espionague Unit, except for everything.

So the first two things I mentioned are invalid examples. Everything from Mirror Force onwards will still squash him, though, since that effect only applies to activating things in response to the Summon. After his summon has resolved, he's fair game.

In any case, BTH and Torrential would still work against him being Special Summoned.

Honest would work but Gale and Brain Control wouldn't (they target him...).
I do like how you can now select DIVINE/Divine-Beast for DNA Transplant/DNA Surgery. That deserves to be done for the lulz :-)
I like the added protection to Bottomless/Torrential. I agree however that Earthbound Immortals are better in most ways but it would be neat to play him anyway. I'm saddened you can't capitalise on his monster destruction effect easily but blowing up all your opponent's monsters is still pretty neat (trib two tokens for that, don't waste your real monsters!) as it lets any other monsters you have attack directly.
Play Reasoning/Monster Gate with this guy, with some added protection (Book of Moon?) to keep him out if you like.

The Light mirror makes Honest a wasted discard, and though the Shadow one cancels DARKs, your examples of Gale and Brain Control are cancelled.
And since Obelisk is the only DIVINE and Divine-Beast-type monster, the Mirrors won't have any effect on him.

Obelisk is still immune to things that target.


I think once people get the chance to really play with it and not under the restrictions of the video games, it will at least be fun. No one would play it competitively because no one plays ANYTHING competitively except the same crap they would normally play anyway.


The tyrant Neptune eating him up does make for some interesting combos. That gets around the Special Summon sickness.

Konami ruled that the mirrors don't work on things in your hand...Honest, Kalut, DD Crow, Kuriboh and the sort that do stuff from your hand are not affected and their effects carry thru....

Sorry, i didn't mention that Clear World has the ability to DECLARE. What i meant is DNA or Tribe Infective Virus CANNOT declare Divine-Type/Divine Attribute.

Since the Ruling mentioned it, then should be can. I am saying it from the GAME-SYSTEM point of view according to my friend. He told me about it that the NDS (YGO's WCS2009), cannot declare Divine-Type or Divine Attribute using either of the DNA trap cards. So i using the thot from what my fren mentioned. And since Konami do have a ruling on it. then can then.

Cause another friend told me about how to counter Clear World is to open DNA and declare Divine Attribute. Then there wun be negative effect so i was telling this to another friend and he told me that from playing the NDS (WCS2009), it doesn't allow to select Divine as one of the selection.

So PLEASE read carefully before replying too. I DIDNT's say Clear World has the declare effect. I know Clear World quite well just only about declaring the ruling i didn't know. But thanks to you, know that i know that there is such selection then tat makes Yugi Muto's Divine Beast useless in the real world card (Obelisk for now) IF Tribe Infective Virus is returned back to the from his long "holiday".
