Turbo Pack 3

Turbo Pack 3 contains 21 cards for tournament players to enjoy at their local card shops. This special prize pack is not a for-sale item, and is available only to Duelists for participation in officially sanctioned events. Turbo Pack 3 gives Duelists their first chance ever to get foil versions of popular cards like Rescue Cat and Rekindling, plus the first foil Morphtronic monster ever: Morphtronic Celfon. It also reprints many popular cards so that new players can get their hands on them and improve their Decks, including Magical Android and Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer.

I'd heard several rumors that TU03 wouldn't see the light of day due to so many tournament stores selling their TU02 packs. Glad to see those rumors were wrong.

Firstly, glad to see this pack happening! I heard rumours of it not happening as well.

Secondly, I doubt we'll get Dark End as it's still (I believe) being given out as SJC prize card (remember SJC isn't YCS).

Thirdly, nice to see foil Rescue Cat and Rekindling, Celfon's a bit funny but hey. Also glad about the Magical Android reprint, since I can't seem to get hold of one. XD

Due to DREV coming out soon I'm expecting to see some fusion support being reprinted, like Future Fusion, Super Polymerisation, Fusion Gate and the Hex-Sealed Fusions, much like how in TU02 we got Gravekeeper's reprints. Here's hoping for a Super Super Poly. :P

I'm also expecting the Ultimate Rare to be something like Rainbow Dark Dragon or Vennominaga, following on from the "Secrets that were Ultimates in OCG" theme. We've had one from LODT and one from GLAS so far, so that leaves TAEV and PTDN. I'm also going to assume, for now, that it won't be a cover card, as the last 2 weren't.

The Ultra I'm not so sure on. After Doomcal and Chaos Sorcerer, I'm going to expect that it will be something that isn't really tied into any particular theme, so it's possible Rescue Cat will be ultra. Won't know until we see more. :)

What i hate about turbo packs in general are that they are SOO HARD to predict. i mean all we can predict is ok, hey there will be this many of this type of holo, there will be a focus on a particular archetype and the ultimate will be something that was ultimate in japan but not here. i mean who would've predicted CELFON as a super! so with my predictions i'm not able to really explain them because there's no set logic here, just randomness. So here's to the archetype being supported being ANYTHING but Morphtronics

Ridiculous Predictions

When has Vennominaga ever been the meta of a format. Also, the Inernities stuff are recent too, they wouldn't reprint stuff so fast. SO much Blackwings stuff already for GLD3, no point of being in this list.

It's not that hard to predict, in TU02, Herk Ultimate was unbelievably retarded. This one they're probably going to do better, dunno about celfon, that's just stupid.

Super Quickdraw would be amazing. Morphing Jar reprint would be nice too. I'm hoping Magical Android will be common rather than rare, as I'm not fond of normal rares.

I'm expecting, due to DREV's focus on fusions, some fusion support somewhere (remember TU02 had Gravekeeper's stuff?), hopefully Super Super Poly, just because. Ulti won't be Dark Armed though, due to the super reprint coming up.

I agree that ulti won't be DAD because it is already being reprinted in one of the tins & Dimensional Alchemist is "supposedly" one of the gold rares in Gold Series 3, but is it still unconfirmed as of this time...

Ulti Caius: Completely unexpected, it does mean every Monarch save Zaborg is available in Ultimate now, but after JD and Herk, Caius is massively underwhelming. :/ If I pull one, I'll keep it for my Dark Gaia OTK deck (along with Ulti Granmarg, Gaia Plates and Malicious Edges) but I'm not really excited about it.

Ultra Grepher: This will look sweet, can't wait to get a few of these in my Infernity deck. :P

Also looking forward to super Cat and rare Faultroll/Android. :)

Seriously, Treacherous trap hole isn't even worth much + not a lot of people play it. It was already a secret rare to begin with and now they downgraded it to super? D.D. Crow on the other hand is a different story, people play it in this meta.

Seriously? Super rare Treacherous Trap Hole? It was already a secret to begin with. Such a waste of a super rare. Morphtronic Celfon is not much better either. The rares are pretty good tho and the commons aren't too bad. I like the Ulti Caius and Ultra Grepher, but they could've made a lot better choices for this pack. All of the X-Saber reprints r gonna make them more likely to get hit come next banlist. I'm glad Rescue Cat got promoted to a super rare tho.

japan's konami makes the ban lists, not us, so what they choose to put on the list is based on their cards, and since japan is pretty close to giving away every card they could do anything for the next list. The only card that did not have this applied was brionac for a few months?

I actually found an article on Pojo in which Kevin Tewart said that the OCG doesn't depict the TCG Banlist. Well he doesn't really say anything other than it doesn't but I'm pretty sure he's referring to the OCG depicting the TCG banlist. Why would they anyways? Our meta is completely different because of all of our TCG Exclusives. The OCG still has a ton of exclusives left to give us as bring overs and that's not including the stuff that we'll be getting from Duel Terminals/ Hidden Arsenal sets. http://www.pojo.biz/board/showthread.php?t=855188&goto=nextoldest

You all do realize the the OCG and the TCG have separate banlists, right? Our list is modeled after the OCG list, but doesn't have to mirror it exactly, which means if we have TCG-exclusives that are really broken, Konami can ban them for us and not for the OCG. This is extremely unlikely to happen, however, because if a card gets hit in one format, it almost always gets hit in the other, but it has happened before. Remember Brionac? It was limited in the OCG when it came out in the TCG as unlimited. There's no "oh konami only looks at the ocg" about it. They look at everything and usually release a single banlist for both formats to abide by.

...it's the same reason why Trishula won't be limited until September '11 even if Trishula will be limited this year or march of next year. I mean it wasn't that hard to let Brionac be unlimited for the format. Konami likes Money:

There is one Brionac per HA-Box, therefore...
Brionac limited to one at release = 1 Box per customer.
Brionac unlimited at release = 2 - 3 Boxes per customer.

The list will be always the same, besides the exclusives...
