Yu-Gi-Oh! 2014 MEGA-TIN

  • To start with they’ve upgraded the tins to maximize storage space for Duelists. They’ll weigh in a whooping 15% larger than previous years allowing a lot more storage.
  • Each MEGA-Tin includes three 16-card Mega-packs with cards taken from a specially made 247 mega set of a year’s worth of core booster releases. That’s a massive 12 commons, 1 rare, 1 super rare, 1 ultra rare and 1 secret rare card.
  • Three variant cards supporting each Mega-Tin’s theme will be included in their respective tins. That’s 2 super rare and 1 never-before-seen rarity… <drum roll> …Platinum Secret Rare version of the Mega-Tin cover monster!!!!!!
  • This adds up to a Godzilla of a tin with a total of 51 cards with 12 foils. That’s the highest number of foils ever assembled in a single tin!
  • Each Mega-Tin design will be based on two of the more powerful tournament deck themes from the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG competitive scene – Bujins and Fire Fists.
  • Player are certain to want to collect both Mega-Tins so they can place them alongside each other for a truly epic mural of Yu-Gi-Oh! monsters.
  • 15% larger storage tin
  • 51 cards with 12 foils
  • New rarity card – the Platinum Secret Rare
  • Both tins draw from popular competitive deck themes – Bujins and Fire Fists

i know what gonna be in here... noble knight medraut, fire fist cardinal, abyss dwreller, xyz reborn, vanity emptiness

lordpain - 24. Aug, 17:58

theres been no rarity changes.

you know what that means right? your still fucked trying to get your bujins and 101s because they kept rarity the same, to actually get your 101s youll need to buy 6 cases because its still shortprint ultra rare.
"The set contains 247 cards, made up of a year's worth of boosters. Cards will be printed in the same rarity as their initial release."-yugioh wikia... so itll be last few sets. save your money for the 5D's legendary collection or buy the the noble knights set in november. if you have to buy then buy individual cards and save yourself from dissapointment and shitty pulls. if it were 3 secrets,3 ultras 3 supers, and then rares and commons to 1 pack with 3 packs like that to a tin id buy but theres too much risk in lossing out and pulling something horrible or something you cant sell/trade off :( i give the mega tins -1 out of 10

IvanV101 - 24. Aug, 21:25

you usually don't think the way other people think. i usually buy packs and tins just for enjoyment and open them, not to plus or want to plus like a greedy man like you lol
lordpain - 25. Aug, 02:15

its not a matter of greed its price matching satisfaction. meaning if im gonna buy a tin thats worth 20(maybe 30 if they decide to jack up the price) then it needs to give me something of greater or equal value. i dont see them selling is all. that and theres to many cards for me to even consider. the 5D's is different because of the high in demand reprints of that era and theres alot of stuff thats harder to find now. the mega tins were a nice idea but its not gonna go over to well, like the sound of a beer can opening durring a eulogy lol. if you wanna buy it then go ahead and do so but when it comes down to things people need and want they might be better off buying them online so theyre not wasting money like legacy of the valiant did to use trying to pull that short print 101

I'm not a fan of the promos

Promos were always the reason for getting these tins. You took a chance on the packs that were inside. I always pull s***. This is a nice was to not have cards jack up in price. Look at older cards such as Vanity's Emptiness and Kaiser Colosseum. It sucks if you're just looking for only 1 card though.
greater222 - 25. Aug, 23:55

Tking is right, tins are usually only for the promos. If you are looking for something in the packs, good luck. I purchased 12 tins and got 1 Maxx C, this was pretty recent. Opening was fun, doing the recap was sad.
Black Masked Emperor - 24. Aug, 19:47

Not too bad, need the foil gorilla XP foil it up, I need a couple of tiger king and 2 nightmare shark, not to mention archfiends commander and 2 susanowo plus foil cranes for days.
